What is GPS Fleet Tracking?

GPS Fleet Tracking is the use of a vehicle tracking device like bus tracking system, bus GPS Tracker, GPS for buses and software to monitor and manage a fleet of vehicles. Through GPS tracking, Parents can gather information on area and vehicle wellbeing, just as driving behavior.

Under the Intelligent Transport Systems , initiative by Govt Of India , Automotive Industry Standard (AIS) along with Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) has framed certain AIS Guidelines and AIS 140 GPS is one among them.

The Govt has directed every state’s public transport department to make sure that all passenger carrying vehicles conform to the AIS 140 guidelines by 1st April 2019.

In order to comply with AIS 140 GPS guidelines, every public transport vehicle , including taxis, cabs , buses, will need to have a Vehicle Location Tracking system and an emergency Panic button. The Solution will be interfaced State Govt emergency command centre and Transport Registration portal VAHAN setup by central govt . In case of any emergency and also enable the passengers to apprise the control room of any kind of mishap or other emergencies.
